We are currently working with a global consumer company to recruit a Head of Trade based in Kuwait. As the Head of Trade, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business growth through effective trade management strategies and initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of trade operations, distribution, and market expansion, ensuring that our products reach consumers efficiently and effectively. This position demands a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the healthcare/consumer industry, trade dynamics, and strong strategic capabilities.

What You,ll be Doing…
  • Trade Strategy Development: Develop and execute trade strategies that align with the company s overall business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth in the consumer healthcare market in Kuwait.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and potential distribution channels to expand the company s footprint within Kuwait and potentially the broader GCC region.
  • Distribution Management: Oversee the distribution network, managing relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers to optimize product availability and visibility.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Set and achieve sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make informed decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing trade team, providing coaching, mentoring, and direction to ensure the team s success and growth.
  • Budget Management: Responsible for trade budget allocation, cost control, and resource optimization to maximize profitability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure cross-functional alignment and achievement of business objectives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local regulations, industry standards, and company policies, and actively manage trade-related risks.

Who You Are…

  • Must have strong Trade sales experience.
  • Must have managed all channels (COOPs, KSC & Modern Trade).
  • FMCG experience.
  • Team management experience.
