Executive Director of IT

Overall Description: As the Executive Director of IT, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the organization s information technology (IT) vision, strategy, and initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in leveraging technology to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve the company s business objectives. You will lead a dynamic team, collaborate across departments, and make strategic decisions to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Duties:

• Develop and implement the organization s IT strategy aligned with its overall business goals.
• Lead and manage the IT department, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications.
• Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation to enhance business processes and services.
• Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of information systems and data.
• Evaluate and select technology solutions that align with the company s needs and future growth.
• Collaborate with other executive leaders to provide technology insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Manage IT budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts to minimize IT-related risks.

Experience Qualifications:

• Proven track record of successful leadership in an IT leadership role, preferably as a Director or VP of IT.

• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to IT operations.

Educational Qualifications:

• A bachelor s or master s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Chief Information Officer (CCIO) are a plus.
