We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dubai.

Role: IT Security Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities

• Firewall Management:
• Design, configure, and manage firewall solutions to secure network traffic in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Conduct regular reviews and optimization of firewall policies.
• Antivirus and Endpoint Protection:
• Implement and manage antivirus solutions to safeguard endpoints against malware, viruses, and other security threats.
• Ensure that antivirus software is up-to-date and performing regular scans.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF):
• Design, implement, and manage WAF solutions to protect web applications from various web-based attacks.
• Monitor and analyze WAF logs to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Penetration Testing:
• Plan and conduct thorough penetration tests on networks, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and potential exploits.
• Provide detailed remediation recommendations based on penetration test findings.
• Security Policy and Procedures:
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Hybrid Environment Security Integration:
• Ensure seamless security integration between on-premises and cloud environments to maintain a unified and consistent security posture.
• Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
• Implement and manage security monitoring systems (e.g., SIEM) to detect and respond to security incidents across both environments.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Vulnerability Management:
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts to mitigate potential security risks.
• Security Audits and Compliance:
• Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with IT teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure security measures are integrated into system and network designs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures.

Qualification

• Education: A bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP or equivalent) are highly valued.
• Experience: Proven experience as an IT Cyber Security Specialist with a strong focus on Firewall management, Antivirus, WAF, and Penetration Testing in a hybrid environment.
• Firewall Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience in configuring and managing firewall solutions.
• Proficiency in security tools, such as IPS/IDS, Email Gateways
• Strong scripting language skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Knowledge in security policies and best practices following security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, .)
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and best practices
• Security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, eWPTx) a big plus
• Antivirus Skills: Proficiency in implementing and managing antivirus solutions and endpoint protection platforms.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) Skills: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing WAF solutions.
• Penetration Testing Skills: Proficiency in conducting advanced penetration tests, utilizing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.
• Security Monitoring: Familiarity with SIEM platforms and other security monitoring tools.
• Compliance and Regulations: Understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations, especially in the context of hybrid environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating detailed reports, documenting procedures, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for identifying and resolving security issues.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals, both within the security team and across departments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications specific to Firewall, Antivirus, and Penetration Testing.
• Experience with cloud security best practices and technologies.

Salary: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
